🌐 In-App Browser

A limited browser opened inside apps like Instagram, TikTok, or Reddit. These often block auto-login, autofill, and can break website functionality.

Bouncy links are made so they bypass the in-app browser using Deep Linking technology.

🔗 Cloaked Link

A hidden or masked link that disguises its final destination. Cloaked links help avoid detection by social media platforms and reduce the risk of bans or blocks.

All Bouncy links are cloaked by default and they will keep your accounts safe.

🚀 Deep Linking

Technology that opens a link directly in the user's default browser (like Safari or Chrome), bypassing the in-app browser for better user experience and higher conversion rates.

Deeplink is a term for a link that is powered by Deep Linking technology.

All Bouncy links are deeplinked by default and they will always open in user's browser.

🏷️ Link Groups

A way to tag and organize multiple links inside your dashboard. Great for bulk actions, filtering, and managing different campaigns or creators.

By default, all Bouncy links are deeplinks, but there is two types of deeplinks:

🖥️ Webiste / Landing Page

A Landing Page in Bouncy is a fully customizable deeplink that opens in the user’s real browser, not in-app.

It displays a single landing page with your branding and one or more buttons linking to your desired destinations (e.g., socials, subscriptions, checkout pages).

It's Perfect for:

  • Funnel-style navigation

  • Warm-up flows

  • Displaying multiple call-to-actions instead of just one desired destination

Landing Pages help you control the first impression and boost conversion by keeping users focused on specific actions.

Direct Redirect

A Direct Redirect is a streamlined deeplink that instantly opens the final destination, without showing a landing page.
It’s the fastest way to send traffic straight to an external URL — and still benefits from Bouncy’s cloaking and real browser deep linking.

Perfect for:

  • Direct offers

  • Affiliate links

  • Login-protected pages

  • Checkout links

It’s clean, invisible, and built for speed.

🌍 Custom Domain

Your own branded domain used for links (e.g., yourbrand.link, yourname.com, yourname.vip, etc...). Improves branding, trust and avoids shared domain issues.

Bouncy supports linking your custom domain and using it for your deeplinks (both landing pages and direct redirect links).

📊 Google Analytics Tag

The Google Analytics Tag is a small tracking script you add to your website or landing page. It collects data on how visitors interact with your content — like:

  • Where they came from (Instagram, TikTok, Reddit…)

  • What pages they visited

  • How long they stayed

  • What actions they took (clicks, scrolls, form submissions)

In Bouncy, adding your Google Analytics Tag to a landing page allows you to monitor performance directly inside your GA dashboard, helping you improve content and understand your audience.

📦 Meta Pixel (formerly Facebook Pixel)

The Meta Pixel is a tracking code from Facebook (Meta) that lets you measure the effectiveness of your ads. It tracks user behavior after they click on your ad and land on your page — like:

  • Page views

  • Button clicks

  • Purchases or sign-ups

By adding the Meta Pixel to your Bouncy landing page, you can:

  • Retarget visitors with future ads

  • Optimize conversions

  • Track ROAS (Return on Ad Spend)

It’s essential if you're running paid traffic from Instagram or Facebook.

🔤 Slug

A slug is the part of a URL that comes after the slash, and identifies a specific page or link.

Example:
In the link bouncy.ai/mylinks, the slug is: mylinks

In Bouncy, the slug is:

  • Fully customizable

  • Used to make your links clean, memorable, and brand-friendly

  • also supported on Custom Domains (e.g: yourname.com/mylinks)

You can edit the slug when creating or editing a link inside your Bouncy dashboard.

🔗 Destination URL

The Destination URL (when making a direct redirect link) is the final page you want users to land on after they click your link.

🔁 Traffic Bounce™

Traffic Bounce™ is a feature that helps you recover lost traffic by redirecting users who click the back button on their browser.

Instead of returning to the previous page (like Instagram or any other place they clicked on your link from), they are automatically redirected to an alternate URL that you specify — such as:

  • A free trial link

  • A free account link

  • A social media account

  • Another funnel step

  • or any other alternative destination
