Bouncy works across all major social media platforms — but to maximize performance, follow our recommended link behavior for each platform.

Instagram, Facebook & Threads (Meta Platforms)

Recommended Mode: Conservative

Meta platforms have the strictest link scanning and filtering systems.
To avoid being flagged, blocked, or shadowbanned, we strongly recommend using Conservative mode on:

  • Instagram

  • Facebook

  • Threads

💡Notes:

  • Conservative mode uses a more subtle redirect that’s optimized for Meta’s scanning systems.

  • Links on Meta platforms will always show 18+ Checkpoint to stay Compliant to their Policy and Terms and keep your accounts safe, and it is not possible to avoid having the checkpoint on your links.

🚀 Reddit, Twitter (X), Snapchat, YouTube, Telegram, etc.

Recommended Mode: Aggressive

These platforms are more flexible with outbound links, so you can safely use Aggressive mode on:

  • Reddit

  • X (Twitter)

  • Snapchat

  • YouTube

  • Telegram

  • Pinterest

  • LinkedIn

  • WhatsApp

  • And more…

💡As these platforms are more NSFW-friendly, you can disable 18+ Checkpoint on Aggressive mode by selecting "Non-Meta Platforms" mode, that is basically same as Aggressive, just without 18+ Checkpoint.

⚠️ Do not use behavior without 18+ Checkpoint on Meta platforms, as the link wont work.

🎵 TikTok

TikTok currently forces all links to open inside its in-app browser, which means Bouncy’s deep linking (escaping to real browser) does not work on TikTok — for now.

💡 We’re actively working on a solution dedicated for TikTok. Stay tuned for updates.

⚠️ Pro Tip:

Using the wrong behavior on the wrong platform can lead to:

  • Lower conversion rates

  • Worse user experience

Always match the behavior mode to the platform you're posting on. You can set this when creating each link.
