Use a Strong Password
Your password must include at least 8 characters with uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and special characters. Don't reuse passwords from other services.
Enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
Add an extra layer of security to your account by setting up 2FA with an authenticator app. Go to Profile > Security to enable it.
Save Your Recovery Codes
When you set up 2FA, Bouncy generates recovery codes. Download and store these in a safe place — they're your backup if you lose access to your authenticator app.
Keep Your Email Up to Date
Your email is used for password resets, billing notifications, and team invitations. Make sure it's current and accessible.
Link Management
Use Descriptive Slugs
Choose slugs that are easy to remember and type. For example, bouncy.ai/my-instagram is better than bouncy.ai/x7k2m. Good slugs also help you stay organized.
Organize with Groups
Use groups to categorize your links by campaign, client, or platform. Color-code them for quick visual identification.
Add Notes to Your Links
Use the notes feature to remind yourself what each link is for, which campaign it belongs to, or any other context that's helpful.
Monitor Your Analytics
Check your analytics regularly to understand which links are performing well and which might need attention. Look for unusual traffic patterns that could indicate issues.
Domain Best Practices
Verify DNS Promptly
When adding a custom domain, set up your DNS records as soon as possible. DNS propagation can take up to 48 hours, so the sooner you start, the sooner your domain will be active.
Use the DNS Propagation Checker
Bouncy has a built-in DNS propagation checker that queries multiple DNS servers. Use it to verify your domain is properly configured.
Content Guidelines
Respect Platform Terms
When using Bouncy links on social platforms, make sure your content complies with each platform's terms of service.
Use the Adult Content Toggle
If your links point to adult content, enable the NSFW toggle. This ensures visitors see an age verification checkpoint before being redirected. Bouncy automatically detects many adult content sites, but you should also manually enable the toggle when applicable.
Don't Use Bouncy for Spam or Phishing
Bouncy links that are used for spam, phishing, or malicious purposes will be disabled and your account may be suspended.
Billing
Keep Your Payment Method Updated
If your card expires or is declined, your subscription may lapse and your links could be deactivated. Update your payment method promptly if you receive a payment failure notification.
Review Your Plan Regularly
