Bouncy makes it easy to change your subscription plan as your needs evolve. This article explains how to upgrade, downgrade, and what happens during each process.
How to Upgrade Your Plan
Step 1: Open the Pricing Page
Click Pricing in the sidebar to see all available plans.
Step 2: Choose Your Billing Period
Toggle between Monthly and Annual billing at the top of the page. Annual billing saves up to 50%.
Step 3: Select a Plan
Click the upgrade button on the plan you want:
Plan | Monthly | Annual (per month) |
Growth | $35/mo | $17.50/mo |
Scaling | $75/mo | $37.50/mo |
Dominance | From $150/mo | From $75/mo |
For the Dominance plan, use the link count slider to choose the number of active links you need (50-300). See What is the Dominance Plan Link Slider? for details.
Step 4: Complete Checkout
You'll be redirected to a Stripe Checkout page where you can enter your payment details. If you have an active affiliate discount, it will be applied automatically.
Step 5: Start Using Your New Features
After payment, your new plan features are available immediately. No need to log out or refresh — your dashboard updates automatically.
How Upgrades Are Prorated
When you upgrade mid-billing cycle, Bouncy prorates the cost. You only pay the difference between your current plan and the new plan for the remaining days in your billing period.
Example: If you're 15 days into a monthly Growth plan ($35/mo) and upgrade to Scaling ($75/mo), you'll pay approximately $20 for the remaining 15 days, then $75/mo from the next billing cycle.
How to Downgrade Your Plan
Click Profile in the sidebar
On your subscription card, click Manage Billing
This opens the Stripe Customer Portal where you can change your plan
Select the lower plan you want to switch to
Confirm the change
What Happens When You Downgrade
The downgrade takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you keep your current plan's features until then
Extra links beyond the new plan's limit will be deactivated (not deleted)
Extra custom domains beyond the new plan's limit will be disconnected
Team members beyond the new plan's limit may lose access
Your links and data are never deleted during a downgrade. If you upgrade again later, you can reactivate everything.
Switching Between Monthly and Annual Billing
To switch from monthly to annual billing (or vice versa):
Go to Profile > Manage Billing
In the Stripe Customer Portal, you can change your billing period
Annual billing saves up to 50% compared to monthly

Downgrades are deferred — you keep your current plan until the billing period ends
