Adding Google Analytics (GA4) to a Specific Deeplink

You can add your own Google Analytics 4 measurement ID to individual deeplinks to track visits in your GA4 property. This is available on paid plans (Growth and above).

What This Does

When you add a GA4 measurement ID to a deeplink, Bouncy includes the Google Analytics tracking script on the redirect page. This means each visit to your deeplink is recorded as a pageview in your GA4 property, allowing you to:

  • Track which deeplinks drive the most traffic

  • See visitor demographics in Google Analytics

  • Build audiences and remarketing lists

  • Integrate with Google Ads for conversion tracking

  • Analyse traffic patterns using GA4's reporting tools

How to Set It Up

  1. Open the Create Deeplink or Edit Deeplink page

  2. Expand Advanced Settings

  3. Find the Google Analytics Measurement ID field

  4. Enter your GA4 Measurement ID (format: G-XXXXXXXXXX)

  5. Save your link

Where to Find Your Measurement ID

  1. Click the gear icon (Admin) at the bottom-left

  2. Under your property, click Data Streams

  3. Click your web data stream

  4. Copy the Measurement ID (starts with G-)

Per-Link Tracking

This setting is per-link β€” each deeplink can have its own GA4 measurement ID. This is useful when:

  • Managing links for multiple clients (each with their own GA4 property)

  • Tracking specific campaigns in dedicated properties

  • Separating analytics for different projects or brands

Bouncy Analytics vs GA4

Adding a GA4 ID to your deeplink is in addition to Bouncy's built-in analytics β€” not a replacement. You'll still see click data in Bouncy's analytics dashboard, plus you'll get the data in Google Analytics as well.
