If you need to change the credit card, debit card, or payment method on your Bouncy account, you can do so through the Stripe Customer Portal.

How to Update Your Card

Step 1: Open the Billing Portal

  1. Go to Profile in the sidebar

  2. Find your subscription card

  3. Click Manage Billing

This opens the Stripe Customer Portal in a new tab.

Step 2: Update Payment Method

  1. In the Customer Portal, find the Payment methods section

  2. Click Add payment method to add a new card

  3. Enter your new card details:

    • Card number

    • Expiration date

    • CVC/CVV

    • Billing address (if required)

  4. Click Save or Add

Step 3: Set as Default

If you've added a new card alongside an existing one:

  1. Find the new card in the Payment methods section

  2. Set it as the default payment method

  3. Optionally, remove the old card

Your next subscription renewal will be charged to the new default payment method.

When Should I Update My Payment Method?

  • Before your card expires — update proactively to avoid failed payments

  • After receiving a new card — even if the card number is the same, the expiration date and CVC change

  • If a payment fails — update your card immediately to prevent your subscription from lapsing

  • Switching banks — add your new bank's card before removing the old one

What Payment Methods Are Accepted?

Bouncy accepts all payment methods supported by Stripe, including:

  • Credit cards — Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover

  • Debit cards — most Visa and Mastercard debit cards

  • Additional payment methods may be available depending on your region

Can I Have Multiple Payment Methods?

Yes. You can add multiple cards to your Stripe account. The default payment method is used for subscription renewals and one-time charges (like domain purchases).

Does Bouncy Store My Card Details?

No. Bouncy never sees or stores your full card details. All payment information is handled securely by Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment processor. Bouncy only receives a confirmation that payment was successful.

I Updated My Card But Still See "Past Due"

If your account shows a "past due" warning after updating your card:

  1. The next automatic retry should pick up your new card — this may take up to 24 hours

  2. You can trigger an immediate payment through the Stripe Customer Portal

  3. If the issue persists, contact Bouncy support
