How to Edit an Existing Deeplink

Written by Bouncy Admin
Updated this week

You can edit most settings on your deeplink at any time after creation.

How to Access the Edit Page

From the Dashboard

  1. Find your deeplink on the Links dashboard

  2. Click the gear/settings icon on the link

  3. Click Edit Link from the context menu

This will open the edit page at /edit/your-slug.

What You Can Edit

The edit page shows all your deeplink settings pre-filled with current values. You can modify:

  • Destination URL — change where the link redirects to

  • Deep Linking Behavior — switch between Aggressive, Conservative, Non-Meta, or Basic Redirect

  • Geo-Filtering rules — add, edit, or remove country/city redirect rules

  • Language Filtering rules — add, edit, or remove language-based redirects

  • Alternate Back URL — change the fallback URL for back-button visitors

  • Adult Content Warning — toggle the age verification gate on or off

  • Google Analytics Measurement ID — add or change your GA4 ID

  • Meta Pixel ID — add or change your Facebook pixel ID

  • All SEO settings — page title, meta description, OG image, Twitter card, favicon, custom meta tags

What You Cannot Edit

  • Domain — the domain used for the link cannot be changed after creation

  • Slug — the URL path cannot be changed after creation

Tip: If you need a different slug or domain, create a new deeplink with the desired settings, then delete the old one.

Unsaved Changes Warning

If you've made changes but haven't saved them, Bouncy will warn you before you navigate away from the page. This prevents accidental loss of changes.

Saving Your Changes

After making your edits, click the Save button at the bottom of the page. Your changes take effect immediately — the live link will use the updated settings on the next click.
