This guide walks you through creating a deeplink step by step.
Step 1: Open the Create Page
Click Create Deeplink in the sidebar, or navigate to app.bouncy.ai/create.
Step 2: Choose Your Domain
At the top of the form, you'll see two tabs:
Bouncy Domains — use
bouncy.ai(free) or one of 22+ system domains (paid plans)Custom Domain — use your own verified domain
Select Bouncy Domains and choose bouncy.ai from the dropdown to get started.
If you're on a paid plan, you can choose a specialty domain like tapmy.social or clickmy.social instead.
Step 3: Enter Your Slug
The slug is the part of the URL after the domain. For example, if you want bouncy.ai/my-link, your slug is my-link.
Rules for slugs:
3–50 characters
Letters, numbers, and hyphens only
No consecutive hyphens (e.g.,
my--linkis not allowed)No leading or trailing hyphens
Must be unique (not already taken)
Step 4: Enter Your Destination URL
Type or paste the URL where you want visitors to be redirected. The https:// prefix is already shown — just enter the rest.
Example: instagram.com/yourusername
Step 5: Choose Your Bounce Behavior
Select how the redirect should work:
Aggressive — tries hard to open the destination in the native app. Works across Snapchat, LinkedIn, Threads, WeChat, Instagram, Reddit, Discord, Facebook, and X.
Conservative (default) — attempts app-opening in WebView/unknown browsers only. Works with Instagram, Snapchat, LinkedIn, Threads, and Facebook.
Non-Meta Platforms — optimized for ads outside Meta platforms. Bypasses adult content warnings for non-Meta platforms.
Basic Redirect — simple redirect with no deep linking behavior.
For most social media links, Conservative is a good starting point. Switch to Aggressive if you want maximum app-opening rates.
Step 6: Create Your Link
Click the Create button. Your deeplink is now live!
You'll see a confirmation with your new link URL. You can copy it and start sharing immediately.
Optional: Advanced Settings
Before creating your link, you can expand the Advanced Settings section to configure:
Alternate Back URL — a fallback URL for visitors who hit the back button (available with Conservative and Basic modes)
Adult Content Warning — force an age gate before redirecting
Google Analytics Measurement ID — add per-link GA4 tracking (e.g.,
G-XXXXXXXXXX)Meta Pixel ID — add per-link Facebook pixel tracking
Geo-Filtering — block or redirect visitors by country/city
Language Filtering — redirect based on browser language
SEO Settings — customize page title, description, OG image, Twitter card, favicon, and custom meta tags
These features are available on paid plans (Growth and above).
