Can I Reactivate a Cancelled or Paused Plan?

Written by Bouncy Admin
Updated this week

Yes! If you've cancelled or paused your Bouncy subscription, you can reactivate it at any time. This article explains how.

Reactivating a Cancelled Subscription

If Your Billing Period Hasn't Ended Yet

If you cancelled but your current billing period is still active (i.e., you're still on a paid plan):

  1. Go to Profile in the sidebar

  2. Click Manage Billing to open the Stripe Customer Portal

  3. Find your subscription — it will show as "Cancelling" or "Scheduled for cancellation"

  4. Click Renew plan or Reactivate subscription

  5. Your plan continues as if you never cancelled — no additional charge

If Your Billing Period Has Ended

If your subscription has already expired and you've reverted to the Free plan:

  1. Go to Pricing in the sidebar

  2. Select the plan you want

  3. Complete the checkout process through Stripe

  4. Your paid features are restored immediately

What Happens to My Links and Data?

When you reactivate:

  • All your links are still there — Bouncy never deletes your links, even on the Free plan

  • Deactivated links can be reactivated — links that were deactivated due to plan limits can be turned back on

  • Custom domains may need re-verification — if your domains were disconnected, you may need to verify them again

  • Analytics history is preserved — all your historical data is intact

  • Team members can be re-invited — if team access was removed, invite your members again

Resuming a Paused Subscription

If your subscription is paused:

  1. Go to Profile > Manage Billing

  2. In the Stripe Customer Portal, find your paused subscription

  3. Click Resume subscription or Unpause

  4. Your plan resumes and billing continues from the next cycle

If the pause period hasn't ended yet but you want to resume early, you can do so at any time through the same process.

Will I Be Charged Immediately?

  • Reactivating before the billing period ends: No additional charge — your existing payment covers the current period

  • Resubscribing after expiration: Yes, you'll be charged for the new plan immediately

  • Resuming from pause: Billing resumes from the next billing cycle (or immediately, depending on the pause terms)

Can I Reactivate on a Different Plan?

Yes. When resubscribing after expiration, you can choose any plan — it doesn't have to be the same one you had before. Simply go to the Pricing page and select the plan that fits your current needs.

Tips

  • Reactivate before your period ends to avoid any disruption — your links stay active and you won't need to re-verify domains

  • Check your link count before reactivating — make sure the plan you choose has enough link slots for the links you want to reactivate

  • Affiliate discounts — if you originally signed up with an affiliate discount, check whether it still applies to your new subscription
