If you no longer need your Bouncy.ai account, you can request its deletion. For security reasons, account deletion is handled through our support team rather than as a self-service action. This protects you in the event that someone gains unauthorized access to your account.
How Account Deletion Works
Account deletion requires manual verification by the Bouncy support team.
Requests are typically processed within 24-48 hours.
Once processed, all of your data will be permanently removed. This includes your profile, deeplinks, analytics, custom domains, and any other associated data.
This action is irreversible.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Log in to your Bouncy.ai account.
Click Profile in the left sidebar to open your Profile Settings.
Scroll down to the Account Deletion section.
Click the Request Account Deletion button.
A message window will open (via Intercom live chat, or an email draft if Intercom is unavailable) with a pre-filled deletion request:
"Hi, I would like to request deletion of my account.
The reason I want to delete my account is: [Please enter your reason here]"
Fill in the reason for your deletion request and send the message.
The support team will verify your identity and process the request within 24-48 hours.
Before You Delete
Consider the following before submitting your request:
Active subscription? If you are on a paid plan, make sure to cancel your subscription through the billing portal first. Navigate to Profile Settings, then click Manage Billing under the Subscription section.
Active deeplinks? Any deeplinks you have created will stop working once your account is deleted.
Custom domains? You will need to remove any DNS records pointing to Bouncy after deletion.
Affiliate earnings? If you have an outstanding affiliate balance, request a payout before deleting your account.
What Happens After Deletion
Your email address will be freed up and can be used to create a new account in the future.
All links associated with your account will return a "not found" page.
Analytics data tied to your account will be permanently erased.
