A/B testing lets one deeplink send visitors to different destination URLs based on percentages you choose. Use it to compare landing pages, offers, or funnels and see which destination your audience responds to best. This feature is available on paid plans.
How It Works
When a visitor opens your deeplink:
Bouncy assigns them to one of your destination variations based on your percentages
They are redirected to that variation's URL
The visit is recorded against that variation in your analytics
The same visitor always gets the same variation on every future visit, so your results stay clean
Setting Up an A/B Test
Open the Create Deeplink or Edit Deeplink page
Expand Advanced Settings
Find the A/B Testing section and switch it on
Variant A is always your main destination URL
Add up to 3 more variations (B, C, and D), each with its own destination URL
Set the percentage for each variation
Percentage Rules
Every variation needs a whole-number percentage between 1 and 99
All percentages must add up to exactly 100
The live total indicator turns green at 100% and red otherwise
Use Even split to instantly balance all variations equally
The inputs cap themselves automatically so the total can never go over 100
Managing Your Variations
Add a variation with the Add variant button (up to 4 total)
Delete a variation with its Delete button; its percentage is handed back to Variant A
Turn the test off with the toggle; your link goes back to sending everyone to the main destination
How A/B Testing Interacts with Other Features
Geo-filtering and language rules win over the split. If a visitor matches a geo or language rule, they follow that rule's redirect and are not part of the test.
Adult content checks apply to every variation's URL, exactly like a normal destination.
Custom domains and system domains are fully supported. Your test behaves the same on bouncy.ai, premium domains, and your own domain.
Previewing a Variation
Add ?abv= and the variation letter to your link to force a specific variation, for example:
bouncy.ai/your-link?abv=b
Preview visits are never counted in your test results, so you can check each variation as often as you like without skewing your data.
Reading Your Results
Open your link's Analytics page to see the A/B Test Results card with views per variation, the actual split versus your target split, and filters to scope the whole dashboard to one variation. See Reading Your A/B Test Results in the Analytics section for a full guide.
