App Links make it easy to create deep links to specific content in popular apps. Here's how to create one.

Step 1: Open the Create App Link Page

Click Create App Link in the sidebar, or navigate to app.bouncy.ai/create-app-link.

Step 2: Select an App

Choose from the supported apps:

  • Instagram — profiles, posts, and reels

  • TikTok — profiles and videos

  • Spotify — tracks, artists, playlists, and albums

  • YouTube — videos, channels, and user handles

  • WhatsApp — send a direct message

  • Twitter/X — profiles and tweets

  • Snapchat — add friend

  • LinkedIn — user profiles and company pages

Click on the app you want to link to.

Step 3: Choose a Template

Each app has one or more content types (templates). For example, Instagram offers:

  • User Profile — link to someone's profile

  • Post/Reel — link to a specific post or reel

Select the template that matches your content.

Step 4: Fill in the Parameters

Each template has specific fields to fill in. For example:

Instagram User Profile:

  • Username — enter the Instagram username (without @)

Spotify Track:

  • Track ID — the 22-character Spotify track identifier

As you fill in the parameters, a live URI preview updates below showing the generated deep link.

Step 5: Choose Your Domain and Slug

Just like a regular deeplink:

  • Select Bouncy Domains or Custom Domain

  • Choose a specific domain from the dropdown

  • Enter a custom slug for your link

Step 6: Configure Settings (Optional)

Expand Advanced Settings to configure:

  • Bounce behavior

  • Geo-filtering and language filtering

  • Google Analytics and Meta Pixel IDs

  • SEO settings

Step 7: Create

Click Create to generate your app link. You'll get a shareable URL like bouncy.ai/your-slug that opens directly in the target app.

Tips

  • Test your link after creating it to make sure it opens correctly in the app

  • Use Aggressive mode for maximum app-opening rates on social media

  • The parameter validation is strict — make sure you're using the correct format (the help text below each field guides you)
