Each Bouncy plan has limits on the number of active links and custom domains you can use. This article explains what happens when you reach those limits and what your options are.
Plan Limits at a Glance
Plan | Active Links/Websites | Custom Domains |
Free | 1 | 0 |
Growth | 5 | 2 |
Scaling | 20 | 5 |
Dominance | 50–300 | 15+ |
What Happens When You Hit Your Link Limit
When you've reached your plan's maximum number of active links:
You cannot create new links — the Create button will be disabled or you'll see a message indicating you've reached your limit
Existing links continue to work — all your active links remain live and functional
Analytics keep tracking — click data is still collected for all active links
What Counts Toward the Limit
The limit applies to active links only. This includes:
Active deeplinks
Active app links
Active/published websites
What Doesn't Count
Deactivated links — links you've toggled to inactive don't count toward your limit
Deleted links — links you've deleted are removed entirely
Your Options
Deactivate or delete an existing link to free up a slot, then create your new link
Upgrade your plan to get a higher link limit — see How to Upgrade Your Plan
On the Dominance plan, increase your link count using the slider — see Dominance Plan Link Slider
What Happens When You Hit Your Domain Limit
When you've connected the maximum number of custom domains for your plan:
You cannot add new domains — the Add Domain button will be disabled or show a limit warning
Existing domains continue to work — all connected domains remain active
You can still use system/specialty domains — these don't count toward the custom domain limit
Your Options
Remove a custom domain you no longer need to free up a slot — see How to Remove a Custom Domain
Upgrade your plan to get more domain slots
How to Check Your Current Usage
You can see your current usage in two places:
Profile Page
Go to Profile in the sidebar. Your subscription card shows:
How many active deeplinks you're using vs. your limit
How many custom domains you're using vs. your limit
How many team members you have vs. your limit
Dashboard
The dashboard may display a usage indicator when you're approaching your limits.
Tips for Managing Your Limits
Use groups to organize your links and identify ones you can deactivate
Review inactive links periodically — if you have links you're not using, deactivate or delete them
Consider system domains if you've maxed out custom domains — they're free with paid plans and don't count toward your limit
Plan ahead — if you know you'll need more links, upgrade before you hit the limit to avoid disruption
