Adult Content Checkpoint — How It Works

Written by Bouncy Admin
Updated this week

Bouncy automatically detects adult content in your destination URLs and applies an age verification checkpoint. This ensures visitors confirm they are of legal age before being redirected.

Automatic Detection

When you create or edit a deeplink, Bouncy scans the destination URL for adult content keywords. If any are detected, the Security Checkpoint panel appears automatically on the creation page to inform you.

What Triggers Detection

Bouncy checks for keywords related to:

  • Adult platforms — OnlyFans, Pornhub, XVideos, Chaturbate, Fansly, Fanvue, and many more

  • Fan/creator platforms — FanCentro, LoyalFans, BestFans, 4Based, and similar

  • Generic adult terms — explicit keywords indicating adult content

The detection is based on case-insensitive substring matching against the destination URL.

What the Checkpoint Looks Like

When a visitor clicks a deeplink with adult content detected (or manually enabled), they see an age verification page before being redirected. This page:

  1. Displays a warning that the content is intended for adults

  2. Asks the visitor to confirm they are of legal age

  3. Only redirects to the destination after confirmation

You can fully customise the look and feel of this page by choosing from 12 warning page templates. See Choosing an Adult Warning Page Template for all available designs, and Customising Your Adult Warning Page for step-by-step customisation instructions.

Manual Override

You can manually force the adult content checkpoint on or off, regardless of whether automatic detection triggers:

  1. Open the Create Deeplink or Edit Deeplink page

  2. Expand Advanced Settings

  3. Find the Adult Content Warning toggle

  4. Enable or disable it manually

When to Manually Enable

  • Your destination has adult content but doesn't match the automatic detection keywords

  • You want to add an extra layer of caution for borderline content

  • You're using a URL shortener or redirect that hides the actual adult destination

When to Manually Disable

  • The automatic detection triggered on a false positive (e.g., a URL containing the word "escort" for a car escort service)

Multi-Language Support

The adult warning page automatically detects your visitor's browser language and displays the warning in their language. Supported languages include English, Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, French, German, Hindi, Chinese, Japanese, and Urdu — including right-to-left support for Arabic and Urdu.

Non-Meta Platforms Mode

If you set your deeplink's bounce behavior to Non-Meta Platforms, the adult content warning is bypassed for visitors coming from non-Meta platforms (Snapchat, LinkedIn, Reddit, X, etc.), while Meta users (Facebook, Instagram) are redirected to the Bouncy.ai homepage instead.

Adult-Themed Domains

For adult content links, consider using Bouncy's adult-themed system domains:

  • allmyspicylinks.com

  • spicyl.ink

  • spicey.link

These domains clearly signal the nature of the content and are designed for adult creators.
